We had a rare opportunity to watch my brother, James' kids one evening. We live less than five minutes from each other, but don't often get together or help each other out anymore. It's sad, really. Our kids love playing together. So we jumped at the chance to have them over. Well, the older two boys were as happy as could be hanging out at Uncle Steven and Aunt Lisa's house. Little Ben. Not so much. He wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with me. He just wanted to sit at our front door and cry hysterically. We felt so bad. Finally, super hero Steven swoops in to save the day. He had Ben completely distracted and mesmerized. All by showing him around the yard.
Here's my car...the big pile of junk that sits in our driveway. (Now in our garage taking up my valuable shade to keep the van cool...stupid car).
Aw, Kyle wanted in on the tour, too!
Here's our tree. I cut this part off because it was in our way, Ben.
This is the other side of the tree.
Oh look, it's the side of the house. Don't worry Ben.
We didn't choose green and grey. Someone who was/is color blind must've chosen it.
That was before our time.
He was happy for about 30 min of the three hours he was with us.
I just love watching Steven and his tender -heartedness. It warms MY heart!
