Family Date Night::FatCats Bowling

Since Steven works a lot of evenings including Mondays doing his camera work for sporting events, we're unable to do a traditional Family Home Evening (FHE) together.  No matter.  We've figured out other ways to get family time in. We'll have family breakfast together instead of dinner.  Or we'll have a family date night where we do any number of things together.  They don't often cost a lot and yet we get to spend that same good quality time together.  The kids love it!

For this family date night, I got a Groupon to Fat Cats for Bowling AND Dinner at the Pizza Factory.  The wait for our hungry tummies seemed to take forever, but thankfully there were games we could play while waiting.

 This boy was fascinating to watch.  He was SOOO interested in just about everything!  It's like he was on toy OVERLOAD!  Heehee!  He Loved SkeeBall even though he couldn't really throw those balls up and in there with enough force.  He never got discouraged!

Both kids really really enjoyed the bowling part.  Probably enjoyed it more than we thought they would, too!  Allison was trying her "hand" at an Elphaba move....willing the ball to do what she wanted!

Isaac didn't want to use the ball shoot at first, but then decided he liked how fast it made the ball go.  

 This kid loved the ball return the most!  He kept track of all the balls for us and made sure we grabbed the right color, etc. A ball-lovers dream!!

 Yup. See that exaggerated Cheese Smile!  This kid was in HEAVEN all night!

It was super hard for me to bowl with my "handicap", but I did it anyway.  Though not gracefully looking by any means.  Steven bowls and swings his feet kinda professional-like.  So, Miss A wanted to try it, too.  I gotta say, SO CUTE!!!
