First Swimming Lessons

Allison has had MANY MANY swimming lessons to date. This was Isaac's FIRST.  Our two children are so very VERY different.  Allison is a water fish.  We cannot keep her OUT of the water.  Isaac will never choose swimming as his first option...EVER!  He's always acted pretty scared of the water, but since we had a drowning scare while at Uncle Don's house in St. George, he's become even more terrified of the water.  So, in an effort to help him get over that fear, we signed him up for swimming lessons.

His teacher and I were trying to get him to put his face in the water and blow bubbles.  He was NOT about to do that!  He was okay with doing it by the 3rd lesson, though.  So, improvements and fears are slowly being overcome...

His favorite part the entire time was kicking on his tummy while clinging to me and/or my swimsuit.  It made me crazy, but by the end of his lessons, he was able to kick on his tummy holding only my forearms, blow bubbles, and hold onto the wall and move across it using his hands.  Improvements however small are still BIG improvements!  Especially when you're overcoming a BIG fear!  We're so proud of our Mister!!!
