Our Mayan Adventure!

We had a "Family Date Night" tonight and chose to go to the Mayan Adventure in Sandy. Oh boy! What a fun time! I remember way back, to what seems like forever ago, when they very first opened. My Sis, Amy, waited in a massive line for hours so a group of friends and I could get in to eat on opening day since it was my birthday! It was a blast, and since then it seemed to have gone south quickly. We would go back once in a while and just weren't thrilled with anything there.

Well, we got a coupon from restaurant.com and decided to spend our FDN at the Mayan. We were so pleasantly surprised! The changes they've made are spectacular! The food is delicious, even though a bit pricy, but by the time you see one of the cliff diver shows, you won't even care about the cost. A great night out full of fun and entertainment!

The cliff divers roam around the restaurant and talk with the diners, and we were lucky enough to have a few talk with us, too. Allison showed them her "battle wounds", aka: broken finger, and the divers did the same in return. Too funny! One even invited her to watch the show from the special viewing booth WAY UP HIGH, to which she responded, "I'm only 5 (holding up her hand) and I didn't even bring my swimsuit!". She must have thought they wanted her to join them in their show! Isaac was just plain terrified of it all. He would only eat his fries, and only a few at that because, "if I don't keep a close eye on these weird-os, they might do something crazy!"

After dinner, we went down to view everything from the pool and were just in time to catch another show. Allie, Isaac & Steven stood right up close and got pretty wet!
