For our Coulliette family annual reunion/camping trip, we went to Huntington Lake, just outside of Huntington State Park. It was eventful, to say the least. We arrived just after the sun went down so had the fun of setting up our tent in the dark...using lanterns to light our way.
This is the sunrise we woke to every morning. It was an incredible redish-orange. Absolutely affected by all the smoke in the air from the summer fires all over Utah.
Trying to sleep a few more minutes...yeah, right!
Allison brought her stamp sets to entertain her younger cousins. Genius!
Time to play at the lake. LtoR: Dad, Alex, Patrice, Michael, Isaac, Steven
Steven working on getting the boys to feel good about being in the water.
Uncle Jimmy playing in the raft w/ the kids...Allison was a fish this trip. NEVER wanted to be at camp unless eating or sleeping.
Alex, Zac, Max, Allison, Isaac...Playing on probably the best babysitter while at camp.
Row....row....row...Uncle Doug had it down.
What? You mean to tell us, we can't stay out here in the lake in a lightening storm?
This guy just wanted to be grabbin' at Mommy.
Hanging out with Grampa & Gunnar
Attack of the killer mosquitoes! The bites were EVIL! And the stupid bugs resisted all forms of bug repellent! Poor Isaac. He got it the worst.
Aw.
Grampa. I'm curious about this thing on your head. Let's talk.
Allison, Steven and Isaac.
Lisa and Allison
Isaac hanging out with Uncle Michael and Aunt Patrice in the raft. He really DID like it.
Ta Da!
Lizzy hanging out with her Uncle Steven. Tender.
This boy was crawling and into everything. Especially if it looked like something a boy should be touching.
Another great babysitter. I don't think this even made it into the water once this trip.
Our Gourmet camping chefs making Pesto Chicken in the dutch oven with Rice pilaf and roasted asparagus on the side. We're not foolin' when it comes to camp food...
Steven happened to lose his expensive glasses at the bottom of Huntington Lake. It was sad. Fortunately, we were able to find an optical place that gave us a trial pair so he could see again. While Steven and I drove with Kyle into Price, The rest of the fam went to the Dino Museum.
Then it was back to camp for some fun rock painting fun.
Gramma Joan sure knows what kids like!
Kyle was NOT a fan of crawling on this ground, so he fashioned a solution.
The boats had all gone to bed so I tried desperately to make my own waves to jump. Phoey. It's just not the same. Allison and I had so much fun flying over the water and jumping the waves though.
Family camping.
The whole crew! It's amazing how much we've grown in numbers!!
