Wild Animals

August 14, 2012

Still on our family vacation/staycation, we decide to swing on by the Zoo since Daddy hadn't seen the new Rocky Shores yet and the Zoo had something fun going on.  Sunset Safari!  We were able to go to the Zoo after hours as members and see all kinds of coolness you can't see during the daytime.
The Rhinos were moving around acting like they were really alive instead of lying there like they usually are.

We got to see some hunting/eating action.  Both awesome and geeerowssss!
Mr. Polar Bear was exercising and doing all kinds of tricks and flips and jumping in and out of the water.

The grizzly bears were wrestling in the water.

These two were quite tame at this moment.
Until a lion threatened to eat them.

Kyle, like all of the kids, was fascinated with this giant spinning ball covered in water. Silly kids!  We absolutely cannot wait till we can do another Sunset Safari.  Not only were the animals more active and doing different things, but the zoo was far less crowded and the temperatures were spectacular!

Where have I been?! I've missed a ton of your blog posts. I love that you guys did so much around your area this summer. Looks very adventurous. ;)

Didn't know they did that, Lisa. Guess it comes with the benefits of being a season pass holder. What a great opportunity. The pictures turned out wonderful. Love the polar bear and the grizzlies, too.
