Birthday Boy at the Zoo

Oh boy! I'm so far behind in my posting! Sorry!

For Isaac's birthday on July 31st, we went to the Zoo. Normally, he sits in the stroller and just "hangs out" and doesn't seem to care that much about the animals...this time was TOTALLY different!

First. He DID NOT want to be in the stroller, acting like he was a BIG boy now, MOM!

Second. He wanted to spend so much time at each exhibit taking in all the interesting noises and sounds, and smells and just WATCHING the animals move!

Third. My BABY is 2 and no longer acting like my baby! Sniff sniff. He's really really growing up!

So, out of habit, I brought the stroller, not knowing I'd have this attitude-driven two year-old in my midst, and it ended up being useful for carrying the diaper bag...oh yeah.

An incredible birthday present for Isaac from the Zoo...the baby giraffe was born the afternoon before we showed up! We got there not long after the zoo opened, so we were one of the lucky ones to see the "baby" first! It was soooo cute! We were all consumed with watching it for the longest time. Come to find out, that "baby" was 6'2" tall!!! HOLY COW! That's taller than Steven! Amazing! We met Big Buddah, from Fox13 and were in the way of all the cameras and photographers and everything. Sometimes it sure is fun to be obnoxious for those guys!

We're excited to go back soon, too. Now that Isaac was enjoying it so much, it sure does make me want to go back and FAST!
