The Insides

With our land and our house style chosen, we needed to get all the other details figured out. Enter our Design Appointment!  This was an All-day affair. It was fun, educational and exhausting! And even though we spent eight hours choosing all the details, we now have things we want to go and change. Not a lot, but some. They're things not pictured here.  Like the newel posts and railings. Or adding crown molding above the kitchen cabinets. Things like that.

We went with the off-white kitchen cabinets color in the kitchen and the dark cabinets in the rest of the house. The style of cabinets are all going to be the same as the dark cabinets because they were significantly cheaper. Sadness. I Looove the style of the other. 

The main level will have the laminate (that looks like wood) flooring except for the living room. That area will be carpeted as well as the upstairs and the basement. We went for a better quality carpet and pad so they will withstand wear longer and better. The carpet we chose is the darker brown on the left side...third one down and one up from the blue. The tile will go in the bathrooms and laundry. 12x12 in bathrooms and laundry and 18x18 in master.  Laminate counter tops in the bathrooms (the colors are propped up against the dark cabinet). The speckled looking laminate square is the master countertop and the more solid looking one is what the other bathrooms will be. We chose quartz counter top for the kitchen in shades of lighter browns and greys (propped up against the whiteish cabinet).   The large tan paper is our wall color and the small whiteish square below is the baseboards and doors color.

The darkest stone square that says 17-N on it, that is the fireplace color. The fireplace design will be a combination of the two top styles pictured. The very top mantle is what the top of our mantle will look like, and the rounded arch, middle, will be the lower half of the fireplace.

For the exterior, we went with dark grey stucco for the majority of the surfaces. White stucco trim. The larger rectangle stone for the stone bottom-half of the exterior. A white garage door and black shutters and black front door.
