Let's go Fly a Kite!

Up to the highest height...

Oh come-on...you know you want to sing along with me!

I've gotten a bit out of order...oops.  Easter weekend our nephew Nathan was receiving the priesthood.  In celebration we all got together at a park near his house and flew kites.  I have to say it was a BLAST!  I don't remember kite flying being so much fun.  Ever. It was a perfectly windy day.

We opted to get our kite at Costco so we could have one that would last for a few dollars more than the cheapies everywhere else.  We're glad we did.  It's definitely something we're going to be doing more often!

The only hard part was assembly.  Took two of us and the directions. It now decorates our garage rafters fully assembled and ready to go at a moment's notice!
Our Red Barron soaring HIGH!  Grampa Tom was assisting.
Allison took a turn piloting the kite all on her own.  See that Mickey Mouse shaped speck...that's Nathan's Star Wars kite.  It was so high, it made it to the end of the string!!
 Love this Daddy/Daughter time.
That's me flying the Red Barron...and all of our kites surrounding it.

Isaac hangin' w/ Shad and trying so hard to get this kite to stay up.
Totally handsome...I can't get enough of that cute face!

Allison flying the Red Barron and Steven trying his darn'd-est to get that cube afloat...everyone did. No one did it. Not really.  Grama Dixie, Eden and Uncle Don in the background trying to get their kites airborne.

Lisa, that looks like it was way fun! What a perfect way to deal with this year's unusually frequent and heavy windstorms!
